Barry Pell recently traveled in Alaska by rail on the historic Alaska Railroad, by sea on the archipelago of protected islands known as the Inside Passage, and by air to grasp the enormity of the land from above. In this program, he will take you on this journey across the landscape of cedar and spruce forests, snow white mountains, and blue-green glaciers that is home to a menagerie of birds and animals.

Ron and Strabo have been working for decades taking photographers all over the world, and Ron is working with the Griffin Museum for a special tour and his last time heading to this magical country in the Maghreb region of North Africa.

Join the Griffin Museum in Paris this November!

Celebrate the creativity and craft of photography in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We spend a week exploring the city, seeing and photographing the City of Light. Join us for Paris Photo and a curated tour of special events, artist visits and photo walks in November.

Our tour starts on Wednesday November 12th with a VIP visit to Paris Photo's vernissage, then throughout the week, we visit museums, galleries and satellite events surrounding the fair. This 5 day tour will be packed with visual delight, immersive

Take a journey to Acadia, the easternmost National Park in the US.  Ranging from the shores of the Atlantic to inland forests and lakes and culminating in the highest elevation of the eastern seaboard, its geological and cultural history presents a fascinating story. This diverse landscape has inspired artists for centuries.  Local photographer and art/history enthusiast Bruce Magnuson will present a photographic journey through this landscape that ranges from the tranquil to the magnificent!

Pre(Occupied) Landscapes aims to challenge conventional representations of the landscape in photography. Rather than treating landscapes as passive backdrops, this workshop explores them as active, layered sites where natural systems, social histories, and political forces intersect. Through lectures, discussions, a guided field exercise, and peer critiques, participants will engage with the landscape not just as a visual subject, but as a living archive of occupation, transformation, and resistance.
